[Washington 19th Reuters]-Deputy-level talks on US-China trade negotiations began on 19th in Washington. Both face-to-face talks are about two months away. Consultations will continue on the next 20th.
About 30 people from China, headed by Vice Minister Ryo and Bin, visited the United States. We met with Deputy Deputy Representatives of Gerish US Trade Representative (USTR).
According to the officials, the discussion seems to focus on agricultural issues, including a significant increase in Chinese purchases of US soybeans. Agricultural issues will be agenda through two sessions for two days, but intellectual property rights and compulsory technology transfer are considered to be discussed only in one session.
