(CNN Spanish) - Bruno Rodríguez, Cuban Foreign Minister, reiterated this Friday in a press conference his rejection of the expulsion of two members of the Cuban mission to the United Nations, who allegedly would have taken actions that damaged the national security of States United.

Rodriguez said that the objective of these actions is "to escalate bilateral tensions, to cause the embassies to close and to break the diplomatic relations."

The Foreign Minister said Cuba will "give an appropriate response" to the expulsion.

For Rodriguez, several actions taken by the United States have resulted in the embargo of the arrival of fuel to the island. On September 12, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel, announced that the Government of
Cuba would take measures to address the fuel shortage that affects the island.

Trade embargo measures and travel ban to Cuba is a discriminatory act, Rodriguez said that it also includes remittances, restrictions on access to medicines and food.

The chancellor also referred to the denunciation of the "acoustic attacks" experienced by US government personnel in Havana, Cuba, as of the end of 2016.

"The United States Government has used various pretexts to tighten the blockade against Cuba," Rodriguez said. The foreign minister added that a group of Cuban experts will work alongside Canadian specialists
To investigate the results of a study, to which CNN has not had access, they would suggest that the symptoms presented by embassy personnel would be the product of neurotoxic agents used in pesticide spraying.

The foreign minister said that on November 6 and 7, the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization will review the draft of the need to end the US embargo on Cuba.

Rodriguez finished his press conference reiterating that Cuba has no troops in Venezuelan territory and that "should not be used as an excuse to harden the block against Cuba."
