Google celebrates 25 years of 'Friends' with a surprise for fans

This weekend marks 25 years since “Friends” arrived on TV screens, and Google is marking the occasion with a bright special feature.

(CNN) - This weekend marks 25 years since “Friends” arrived on TV screens, and Google is marking the occasion with a bright special feature.

The search engine has launched seven "Easter Eggs" with the theme of "Friends" that show users special icons when they search for their favorite character. The icons appear in the panels on the right of the search page, next to the information about the character.

A search for Ross Geller, the most famous pop culture paleontologist, shows a sofa: click on it and you will hear Ross's suggestion to “turn” (“pivot” in English) with an on-screen title. If you click many times you will hear Ross say "OK, I don't think it will spin anymore ...".

Type "Chandler Bing" and an armchair will appear that, if you click on it, lets out a duck and a chick.

For fans looking for “Friends Glossary,” the search engine will extract the definitions of “phalanx,” “hand twin” and more, in case you need to remember it.
