An AfD internal working group sees some statements by politicians of the party itself as evidence of anti-constitutional attitudes. In a report written by the "Working Group for the Protection of the Constitution", headed by Member of Parliament Roland Hartwig, there are three party members who are still active today, in which "apparently real evidence" has been found.
A total of 21 AfD members have made statements that are incompatible with the free-democratic basic order, it says in a statement, the news agency dpa present. However, from the perspective of the working group, these could be eliminated through public clarification. In 108 cases AfD-ler, who are still party members today, made statements that might be "interpretable ambiguous". In 341 cases, statements by the working group were wrongly criticized by the protection of the constitution.
In January, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) classified the youth organization of the AfD (Young Alternative) and the right-wing national wing as a suspected case of right-wing extremism. The AFD spoke then of a "political instrumentalization" of the constitution protection.
In the report of the constitution protection, which is based on the classification by the Federal Office, it states among other things: "The party opens the scenario of a development, at the end of the" self-destruction "and a defacing of Germany stands - if no political change occurs.
