Moscow - The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Washington's actions regarding the Gulf region lack any legal justification

Moscow-Sana

The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Washington's actions regarding the Gulf region lack any legal justification and will not achieve stability there.

"All measures taken in this region should have the main objective of stabilizing the situation," Sputnik quoted ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying at a news conference in response to a question about Washington's plan to create a "maritime alliance" under the pretext of providing security for maritime navigation in the Gulf region. But the policy of the United States and a number of other countries does not lead to this result, but to the contrary.

Zakharova stressed that all measures taken in this regard should have a legal justification and be the main objective of improving and stabilizing the situation in the region.

The United States announced earlier that it intends to form a "maritime alliance" in the Gulf region under the pretext of providing security for maritime navigation, while Iran warned of the repercussions of this scheme, stressing that this "coalition" will only increase tension in the region and warned of serious consequences in the event Accession by the Israeli occupation entity.
