Tehran-Sana
TEHRAN - The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Thursday strongly criticized Britain's accusations against Tehran over the Yemeni army's operation against Saudi oil installations.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Moussaoui said today that the British government should stop selling lethal weapons to the Saudi regime instead of accusing Iran and making efforts against it, rejecting British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's statements about Iran's possible role in the attack on oil facilities.
Moussaoui stressed that the demand to stop the sale of lethal weapons to Saudi Arabia is raised by many people in the world, pointing out that the British government must implement this demand in order to rid itself of the charge of war crimes against the Yemeni people.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Saturday rejected allegations by some officials of the Saudi regime about Iran's responsibility for the attack on Saudi Aramco oil facilities.
It is noteworthy that the Yemeni armed forces announced in a statement recently carried out a massive offensive operation of ten drones targeting two oil facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco in eastern Saudi Arabia in response to the crimes of the Saudi aggression coalition, which led to the disruption of 50 percent of the company's production.
