Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Walid al-Moallem stressed that the members of the Constitution Discussion Committee are the decision makers and the role of the United Nations facilitates the work of the parties and does not interfere in the substance of the debate.
"The committee to discuss the constitution is one of the outputs of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference in Sochi, and there was external pressure to obstruct its formation," Moualem said in an interview on Syria Today .
Al-Moallem stressed that the committee to discuss the constitution is led and owned by Syria and there is no external interference in it, adding, “We do not accept any pressure or interference in its work.
