In a statement in response to Erdogan's remarks at an event in New York and his statement to the UN General Assembly, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said: “What is surprising and deplorable is Erdogan's determination to continue his allegations and make false and naked statements made by the defense prosecution.
