Egypt called on the international community to hold Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accountable for his crimes, especially supporting terrorism in Syria and the region, supplying him with weapons, harboring terrorists and providing safe haven for them in violation of Security Council resolutions as well as his crimes against his people.
In a statement in response to Erdogan's remarks at an event in New York and his statement to the UN General Assembly, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said: “What is surprising and deplorable is Erdogan's determination to continue his allegations and make false and naked statements made by the defense prosecution. "The values of justice and their inner feelings of hatred and hatred towards Egypt and its people."
Hafez pointed out that it is ironic that these allegations come from someone like Erdogan in light of his suspicious role in supporting and sponsoring terrorism in the region by embracing the terrorist Brotherhood and its elements and providing political support and media platforms to them in order to continue promoting their subversive ideas in Egypt and the whole region. Erdogan's sponsorship of terrorism in Syria, which led to the bloodshed of the Syrian people as well as facilitating the passage of terrorist elements and foreign militants and support them to penetrate the countries of the region, Europe, Africa and Asia to destabilize them and promote the dismantling T extreme and spread.
“Egypt has always condemned Erdogan's continued involvement in complicity with countries that support terrorism and extremist ideology,” he said.
In interfering in the internal affairs of a number of countries in the region with the aim of threatening their internal stability and desperate pursuit of domination and influence as well as the gross violations committed by his regime against the Turkish people, where he is trying to make him hostage to false freedom and alleged justice.
Hafez said that Erdogan's statements against Egypt "is only a desperate attempt to dismiss the deterioration of the status of his regime and the successive losses suffered both at the party level or on the Turkish internal scene and the international arena."
