(CNN) - Jessica Simpson is proud of her weight loss.
It has been six months since the singer, actress and businesswoman gave birth to her third child, the girl Birdie Mae Johnson, and Simpson says she has spent that time working hard.
Recently she posted a photo of herself on her official Instagram account, showing her weight loss of 100 pounds, 45 kilos.

6 months 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240 đ) My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder. đ

In the publication, Simpson is dressed completely in black, wearing a belt that highlights his waist and is complemented by great tones and a bag.
"6 months. 100 pounds less (Yes, I got the balance at 240 pounds), âsays the caption. âMy first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and I am emotional for many reasons, but very proud to feel like me again. Even when it seemed impossible, I chose to work harder. â
Simpson has had well-documented struggles with the weight in the past and even once had an agreement as a spokesman for Weight Watchers. The company is now known as WW, or Weight Watchers Reimagined.
Simpson and her husband, former NFL player Eric Johnson, are also parents of his Ace, a boy, and Maxwell, a girl.
