The foreign ministers of the guarantors of the Astana Process reaffirmed the commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, stressing respect for these principles by all parties.

"The foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey, as guarantors of the Astana process, held a tripartite meeting on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly," the statement said.

In their statement, the Ministers expressed their determination to support the work of the Commission through continuous interaction with the Syrian parties and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria.

The Ministers stressed that this decisive step will pave the way for a viable Syrian-led political process facilitated by the United Nations in parallel with the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference in Sochi and Security Council resolution 2254.

The final statement of the meeting held by Russian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Iranian Hassan Rouhani and the President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan on September 16th stressed the three countries' firm adherence to the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the objectives and principles of the United Nations Organization Principles and that they should not be violated by any acts regardless of their perpetrators.
