[UN 25 Reuters]-Iranian officials said yesterday that Iranian President Rouhani and US President Trump are not likely to meet during the UN General Assembly in New York.
Iranian officials have told Reuters that the possibility of a summit meeting is "zero" and that the US will return to the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement and that sanctions need to be lifted.
In a general debate speech at the United Nations General Assembly the day before, President Trump criticized Iran's cruelty in connection with the attack on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia and called on countries to keep pace with the United States to put pressure on the country. At the same time, he stressed that the road to peace remains.
