Welcome to The Morning @SPIEGELONLINE .
Today, Sven Scharf accompanies you to the day until 9 o'clock - here you will find the author on Twitter.
The most important political topics of the day can be found compactly in our briefing DIE LAGE.
In the US, a Tesla police vehicle had to stop a chase - the electric car had run out of power. Obviously, it had been forgotten to charge the car properly. It is unclear why the Model S 85 was not fully charged, said the Police Department in Fremont, California. A spokeswoman told CNN that it would happen from time to time. Other non-electronic vehicles continued the chase, but this was not successful. The pursued vehicle was later found - there was no trace of the fugitive. The Freemont Police Department told CNN that the integration of Tesla vehicles into the fleet is still within a six-month test period. The broken chase will have no effect on how the police rate the use of Tesla vehicles. 9/26/19 4:00 AM Welcome to the "Morning" at SPIEGEL.
