Kuala Lumpur-Sana
Malaysian police have arrested 15 people, most of them from Indonesia, on suspicion of links to the Islamic State terrorist group IS.
"The suspects were arrested during several raids in different parts of the country between July and September," Ayub Khan Maidin Beechai, head of Malaysia's counter-terrorism unit, was quoted as saying in a statement.
Malaysia has been on high alert since January 2016, when ISIS terrorists carried out a series of attacks in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, and hundreds of people have been arrested in recent years on suspicion of links to terrorist organizations.
