In order to support the cultural and artistic movement with activities and events and the establishment of specialized workshops for talented people to express their creative potentials Zawaya Center for Culture and Arts opened in the Qasaa neighborhood of Damascus.
The center of the cultural association “Nahna” attended the opening, interested in cultural and community affairs, which included a number of activities including plastic art exhibitions, sculpture of young Syrian artists, photography and musical evening.
In a statement to Sana, Zawaya center official stressed the importance of investment and development in creativity, which is the basis of the work of the `` Nahna '' society through embracing the young Syrian musical and theatrical groups in a tireless endeavor to develop the skills of young people and raise their competencies and highlight their talents and possibilities to activate the local cultural movement.
Suleiman explained that the mission of the association is to spread the culture of life and fill the gaps in the Syrian cultural life resulting from the terrorist war on Syria by empowering the talented youth in the cultural field and putting them on the path of professionalism, which has worked on since its inception in 2013.
The association “Nahna” hosts several artistic groups in singing, theater, plastic arts and dancing, including “Pulse” for the national song specializing in the songs of the homeland and man and works to inspire hope among the youth through the dissemination of music and concerts in the street and public and private places. Her own album “The Will of Life”.
The Enab singing troupe is for ages 8 to 17 and includes 10 musicians and 14 singers.
One of the Society's projects is Kalima, a cultural salon that periodically discusses books and films. The annual tradition of the association is the celebration of Mrs. Fayrouz on the stage of the Zahra Theater in Damascus, which she sang for the first time in 1952.
