(CNN) - A United Airlines flight had to be diverted to Denver, Colorado, on Wednesday night to free a passenger who got caught in the plane's bathroom.
"The bathroom door stopped working" during flight 1554 from Washington, DC to San Francisco, according to a United Airlines statement. A passenger was locked up.
In Denver, "the passenger was safely taken out of the bathroom after landing, and travelers continued to their destination on a new plane," the airline said.

“We are working on opening the door at this time, ma'am. We'll get it out soon, okay? ”, One of the men is heard saying.

"We are contacting all customers on board and the woman who stayed in the bathroom to apologize," says the United Airlines statement.
