Damascus, (SANA) - President Bashar al-Assad under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad kicked off today the activities of the educational development conference in the Syrian Arab Republic

Under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad, the activities of the educational development conference in the Syrian Arab Republic, held by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, entitled "A future educational vision to strengthen the building of man and the homeland" kicked off at the Conference Palace in Damascus.

Participants will discuss the future national strategy for education in Syria, the institutionalization of alternative education, the integration of education systems, the changing roles of the teacher and the learner in the twenty-first century, the new active education, the development of educational curricula and their components and their role in building the homeland and citizens, the general framework of educational curricula, the content of textbooks and activities, and the development of vocational and technical education. Vocational education in the labor market and the application of quality standards on the components of the learning process and the reality of kindergartens and prospects for development and evaluation from a future perspective.

The conference will be accompanied by workshops on vocational education, curricula and their components in a changing world, integration in pre-university and university educational institutions and the integration of education for persons with disabilities between kindergarten and community participation and special education.

Arab and foreign intellectuals and experts from the ministries of education and higher education, academic and research centers, national civil society organizations in Syria, and representatives of relevant international organizations will participate in the conference.
