(CNN) - Bella Thorne is being recognized for her management work.

Pornhub, which is described as “the main online destination for adult entertainment,” announced Thursday that the actress will receive her Vision Award for her directorial debut of her film Her & Him at the second annual edition of the Pornhub Awards the company on October 11 11.
The adult movie was a bit surprising for some fans of the 21-year-old Disney star.

"It shows a nervous guy in his twenties who runs into a surprise message on his girlfriend's phone, interrupting his morning routine and turning everything into an out of control sexual encounter," Pornhub said in a press release.
In a YouTube video behind the scenes of Pornhub about the project, Thorne said he originally intended to make a horror movie with Christmas themes, but "instead I made a beautiful and ethereal movie."

"I'm very lucky that Pornhub wanted to come and produce this with me because I was originally seeing options a long time ago and things were very different," said Thorne. "People are a little scared to make a movie like this when it comes to domination and submission between a man and a woman and how this relationship can become quite bitter."
The film stars adult entertainment actors Abella Danger and Small Hands and features music from rapper Mod Sun.
Pornhub also announced the incorporation of rap artist Ty Dollar Sign as a musical performer at the event, joining Bad Bunny, Ian Isiah, Kali Uchis, Rico Nasty and Tommy Genesis.
