Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has assured his US counterpart Mike Pompeo that attempts to pressure Russia through sanctions are futile.
Lavrov said during a meeting with Pompeo on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York that attempts to pressure Russia through sanctions or any other futile means only undermine prospects for bilateral cooperation for a settlement, Lavrov said in a statement.
