Hundreds of thousands of students demonstrated in a number of European cities today as part of a series of demonstrations around the world calling for avoiding a climate disaster.
The organizers said 200,000 people had joined a rally in Milan, while another rally in the center of Rome called on activists to hold similar demonstrations in other Italian cities.
In Austria, the biggest march for climate so far took place after tens of thousands rallied in Vienna and other cities.
Thousands of people, mostly schoolchildren, also took to the streets of Budapest and other Hungarian cities
