NEW YORK - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said Washington's allegations about the use of chemical weapons were confirmed

New York-Sana

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin stressed that Washington's allegations about the use of chemical weapons in the province of Latakia aim to hinder the improvement of the situation in Syria, especially the political process.

"It seems strange to us that every time there are positive developments, especially in the political process, these statements appear to undermine the improvement of the situation in Syria as a whole and the success of the political process," Vershinin told reporters, expressing Moscow's regret that Washington had made such allegations.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants confirmed on May 25 that the fabricated bare news about the Syrian Arab Army's use of chemical weapons in the town of Kabbani in Lattakia countryside is only a prelude to the choir of lies and hypocrisy of the West to begin with threats and intimidation against the Syrian state. This noise will not deter it from continuing its war against terrorism.

The source stressed that this systematic campaign of lies is a desperate repeated attempt by some Western countries belonging to the United States to relieve pressure on their terrorist actions in Idlib and a miserable and open attempt to delay the progress of the army in those areas.
