Five Afghan civilians have been killed in a US airstrike in eastern Afghanistan.
The Associated Press quoted witnesses as saying today that civilians were killed in a US drone attack on the Khoja Omri area of Ghazni province last night.
Ahmed Khan Sirat, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, said dozens of people marched from the Khoja Omri area carrying the bodies of the victims to local authorities.
In turn, the US military acknowledged the killing of 11 people in an air strike in the areas of Khoja Omri and Khojiani, but claimed that they are Taliban militants, denying civilian casualties.
