Havana-Sana
The Cuban Communist Party reiterated its support for Syria in its war against terrorism, noting the legendary steadfastness it has shown in the face of terrorist organizations, their supporters and financiers over the past years.
A member of the General Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba and Head of the Economic Department of the Central Committee Horhe Cuevas Ramos, during a visit to the Syrian housing house in the Cuban capital, Havana, expressed his high appreciation for the courageous and wise leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the tournaments it has taken in the face of terrorist organizations, their supporters and financiers. However, the current challenges facing Syria and Cuba require strengthening relations between the two countries, the Cuban Communist Party and the friendly Arab Baath Socialist Party.
Cuevas Ramos stressed that his recent visit to Syria showed the extent of media misinformation that most Western media are following towards Syria, expressing his satisfaction with the security and stability situation experienced by most Syrian governorates and the people gathering around his army and leadership.
For his part, Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Idris Mia stressed Syria's determination to liberate every inch of its territory from the abomination of terrorism, regardless of the sacrifices, pointing out that the Syrian economy started to recover as many factories and establishments resumed their activities after the Syrian Arab Army restored security and safety for most of Syria.
Mia thanked Cuba for its leadership, party and people for its pro-Syrian stances in all international forums and condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against Havana that directly affect the lives of Cubans.
Cuevas Ramos was accompanied by Vice President of the International Relations Department of the CPC Central Committee Juan Carlos Marcan and Herardo Suárez Albarez, Coordinator for Africa and the Middle East in the International Relations Department of the CEC.
