Participants in the sculpture festival in the captain: a distinctive imprint of the plastic movement

Dozens of sculptures lined up near each other gathered by the third permanent sculpture festival in the town of Naqib in Tartous countryside to announce the conclusion of this event amid the participation of seventeen plastic artists from different governorates.

The festival, which began almost a month ago under the title of victorious Syria, shines with civilization and comes to life with a collection of sculptures documenting Syrian history and the fierce terrorist war for eight years.

President of the town of Captain Zaheer Sorour considered that the forum is a message to the world of the victory of Syria and is documenting the present for future generations as we have read the history of the ancestors and in honor of the concept of martyrdom and the role of Syrian women and stand by men in the struggle and sacrifice.

President of the Union of Fine Artists in Syria, Dr. Ihsan Al-Ar stressed that the sculptors presented this forum their experience over the years to create wonderful works of art and large sizes reflected the spirit of contemporary Syrian art.

Artist Wael Hilal from As-Suwayda presented a work that mimics the war on Syria, expressed in a vacuum that is surrounded by a bloc and coarse lines and other soft lines reflecting the stages of the war to get our country finally victorious, pointing to the richness of the forum with his ideas and experiences of artists, which created a rich cultural dialogue.

Artist Ali Baha Mualla from Tartous talked about his choice of victorious Syria as the title of his sculpture, expressing the Syrian mother who gave birth and presented and sacrificed today carrying the banner of victory hugging the sun because the woman in Syria was cosmic history in all its details.

Artist Aktham Al-Salloum from Homs crossed the sculpture of the female giving which reveals the oldest alphabet in history, namely the mother, the land and the homeland, saying, “In short, Syria”.

Artist Anwar Rashid from Sweida found that the artists in this festival added a distinctive imprint that tells the secret of civilization, tender and construction, presenting the story of history and glorifying martyrdom in different sculptural styles that reflect the story of a country whose destruction I want, so it flew its wings like a phoenix.

Artist Ali Rajab Hussein from Tartous drew attention to the richness of Syrian history with its legacy. There is nowhere else in this world, choosing to embody that statement by sculpting the Syrian woman who holds the pitcher of water and sticking to the old country house in a message to return to that date and preserve those roots.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the participating artists and a number of public and media personalities were honored with an important role in the achievement of the Forum.
