Syria condemned in the strongest terms the decision of the US Senate Foreign Affairs Committee on human rights and democracy in Hong Kong and considered it a blatant interference in China's internal affairs.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants stressed that Syria reiterates its full support to the People's Republic of China and its firm support for the one-China principle.
