US President Donald Trump attempts to intimidate and discredit the whistleblower in the Ukraine affair. On Twitter, he described the whistleblower's complaint as a "fake". "The whistleblower knew almost nothing," Trump wrote Monday. The description of the telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj, which is at the center of the scandal, is based on second-hand information and is "a fraud".
In addition, Trump accused the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Democrat Adam Schiff, of misrepresenting the telephone conversation with Selenskyj - and arrested Schiff: "Torture for treason?" Trump tweeted.
Rep. Adam Schiff illegally made up a FAKE & terrible statement, pretended to be the most important part of my call to the Ukrainian President, and read aloud to Congress and the American people. It bore NO relationship to what I said on the call. Arrest for Treason?
