[Washington, 30th Reuters]-The US Treasury has designated Russia's President Putin's sanctions as sanctions on the 30th, trying to intervene in the US midterm elections last November.
The sanctions were targeted by Defender Evgeni Prigosin, who was charged with alleged intervention in the 2016 presidential election, and six executives of the Russian Internet Research Agency (IRA).
The Ministry of Finance said Priggin defendant tried to intervene in the mid-term elections, but found no evidence that it had interfered with elections or affected the work of counting votes.
The IRA is seen as a trawl (fishing, vandalism) base that exerts influence by sending false information on the net, and there is a suspicion that it will boost Mr. Trump's election in the 16th presidential election.
