Iraqi security forces arrested eight terrorists in Baghdad, Kirkuk and Anbar provinces.
"The security forces arrested seven terror suspects in Baghdad and Kirkuk provinces and managed to liberate a kidnapper and seized a group of weapons and two hideouts of ISIS operatives," the statement said.
Iraqi military intelligence also announced the arrest of a terrorist in Ramadi in Anbar.
In Diyala province in eastern Iraq, the Popular Mobilization Forces thwarted an attack by the Islamic State terrorist group on the village of Shirk in the Khanaqin district.
