(CNN Spanish) - Once again, the writers have said it best in the newspapers that are still circulating.

However rocker you may have been, it is time for you to sing "El triste". This is assured - and rightly so - by the Mexican writer Xavier Velasco, Alfaguara 2003 prize for his novel "Guardian Devil."

Velasco has a cursed face and one of his best evils was to gather in one of his books, “Foolish Delivery. Drifting letters ”, the letters he wrote to some lovely figures - for him - Serena Williams, Chabelo and José José, among others.

Because a letter is written, especially for oneself.

Xavier Velasco says that he decided to write to the singer just hours before his wedding, while putting on his girlfriend, because of so difficult to sing, "The sad" always seemed "an act of the purest athletic, emotional and physical" and because if Someone like José José, whose life was twisting more and more, kept singing that song or at least it sounded like doing it, I add, that was like immolation.

"There is some Christian there, I can't ignore it," Xavier Velasco admitted.

Another Mexican writer and poet, Jordi Soler remembered that José José, like Frank Sinatra, did not compose his songs, but pointed out that “that does not matter because he is his songs”.

And he describes the singer as a man with the "permanent will to place himself on the edge of the abyss."

And to those of us who listen to him, almost always in "the time of the collapse", he describes us as little men and women "before the dilemma of asking for another round or going home" and in the end "he chooses to ask for four more rounds."
