The Youth Center of the Syrian Family Planning Association in As-Suwayda organized today a walk from Tishreen Square to Al-Sir Square in the governorate center on the occasion of launching the national campaign for early detection of breast cancer.
Participants in the march, with the slogan “Because you need to be reassured,” held up banners and distributed awareness leaflets calling on women to detect early breast cancer through screening.
She explained that the Association is carrying out tests and diagnoses within its clinics during the current month with the referral of some cases to the hospital or comprehensive clinics in addition to the organization of seminars within the clinics and centers of a safe area and youth on breast cancer and how to self-examination and psychological guidance to be followed.
The youth volunteer in the family planning association, Acer Tawil, said that his participation in the march was in line with the need to support women and provide health care to them as the main pillar in building the family.
The young volunteer Raghad Al-Khatib stressed the need for women to have regular tests on breast cancer and spread this culture of health among members of the community.
