The Russian Coast Guard has reportedly arrested 21 North Korean fishermen for poaching. The soldiers opened the fire in the Japanese Sea and injured at least five people. Their injuries are said to come from a fire that broke out on board, according to the Russian agency Interfax.
In the Sea of Japan, which apart from North Korea and Russia are also Japan and South Korea, and which, according to the South Korean version, is called the "Baltic Sea", there is a constant dispute over fishing rights. According to experts, Pyongyang urges its fishermen to go further and further out to the sea, hoping for a bigger catch.
