Around 9:55 am on the 2nd at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, northeastern US Nine people were killed and injured. US media reported. The aircraft was the US Army heavy bomber “B17” during World War II, owned and operated by a private organization.

The cause of the accident is not clear. The US media reported that there was some trouble in the sky, and that the airport officials reported that they had collided to take off at about 9:50 and then returned. The 14 people who were killed or injured were 3 crew members, 10 passengers, and 1 ground worker.

B17 is mainly used by US forces over Germany and other Western Europe during World War II. Because of its ruggedness, it was also called “The Flying Fortress”. According to the airport's Twitter, the B17 was owned by the Collings Foundation, a non-profit organization headquartered in Massachusetts that stores and exhibits aircraft.

According to the US media, the foundation had a crash in B17 in 1987, but there were no injuries at that time. The foundation said it had toured and boarded tours at the airport from September 30th to October 3rd. (New York = Manabu Fujiwara)
