Tehran-Sana
TEHRAN: Iran will continue to reduce its obligations under the nuclear deal unless the other parties honor their commitments, the Atomic Energy Organization said yesterday.
By focusing on the reduction of nuclear obligations in the agreement, scientific and strategic activities will be pursued and new capabilities in various technical and programmatic areas will be pursued within the frameworks of national laws and safety and security commitments, the organization said in a statement today.
The organization pointed out that the reduction of obligations was in accordance with the terms of the nuclear agreement declared and aimed at achieving a balance between the commitments and benefit from its advantages, which is legal and human rights and does not carry any violation.
"The officials in the country have also announced many times that if the signatories of the nuclear agreement return to respect their obligations and put them into effect, Iran will also return to full implementation of the agreement," it said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced yesterday that his country would take new steps with regard to reducing its obligations under the nuclear deal if the European countries did not implement their obligations towards Iran.
