As part of the National Campaign for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer, the provision of medical scouting and awareness services in the governorate of Deir Ezzor continues with the participation of the local community and NGOs.
Al-Shuaibi said that the campaign, which lasts until the end of this month, targets all women through clinical examinations, free mammography and a number of lectures and awareness seminars that address the importance of early detection of the disease and its symptoms and the reasons for its spread and methods of prevention and how to conduct breast self-examination.
The Head of the Division explained that the centers provide clinical detection and ecological imaging services for girls aged 15 years and mammography for women aged 40 to 70 years and free of charge in dedicated halls and through trained technical staff.
For her part, the President of the Arab Women Association, Mayada Sarhan, pointed out that the participation of NGOs comes within the framework of supporting the campaign and holding seminars and lectures aimed at raising awareness and spreading health culture to introduce the importance of self-examination and periodic.
