SEOUL (Reuters) - Six people were killed and four others injured on Friday as Typhoon Maitag swept through parts of South Korea with heavy rain and heavy storms.

South Korea's Interior and Security Ministry said the 18th typhoon that hit the country this year killed six people, injured four and evacuated about 1,500 people in the southeast as more than 100 homes were submerged, triggering landslides. Different.

Korea Electric Power Co. said the typhoon also caused power cuts to 4,445 homes and buildings in the past two days.
