Washington (CNN) - US President Donald Trump said Thursday he wants Ukraine and China to investigate Joe Biden and his son after not answering a similar question on the subject the day before.
Speaking to journalists in the White House, Trump was asked again what he wanted the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the Biden.
“Well, I think if they were honest about it, they would start an important investigation about the Biden. It is a very simple answer. They should investigate the Biden, ”Trump said.
"Similarly, China should begin an investigation into the Biden because what happened in China is almost as bad as what happened with Ukraine," Trump added. "Then, I would say to President Zelensky, that if it were me, I would recommend starting an investigation into the Biden."

Trump raised both Ukraine and China in his response, saying he believes both countries should investigate the former vice president and his son Hunter. There is no evidence of irregularities by Joe or Hunter Biden in Ukraine. Nor is there evidence that the former vice president has received money from China and a Hunter Biden lawyer rejected this characterization by calling it "a misrepresentation."
The president repeated his criticism of the complaint of an informant, saying that it was "total fiction" and repeating that his conversation with the president of Ukraine was "absolutely perfect."
On Wednesday, Jeff Mason of Reuters had asked Trump the same questions, which are the center of the storm of political trial. When Mason, repeatedly but respectfully tried to follow up, Trump snapped: “Ask this gentleman a question. Do not be rude".

But on Thursday, Trump presented exactly what he wanted: investigations of a potential political rival.

Trump says he has not yet asked his Chinese counterpart to investigate Joe Biden and his son.
But he said it was something he would consider, claiming that the Biden committed bad actions.
“I have not done it, but it is clearly something we should start thinking about,” he said when asked if he had raised the matter to the president of China, Xi Jinping.
