(CNN) - For parents who look jealously at their children who do "trick or treat", dipped in pillowcases full of Halloween candy, Hershey and Yuengling are thinking of you. And they have come together to develop a new delight for adults, just in time for the sweet tooth season.

The result? A chocolate porter beer from Yuengling Hershey.

It is a sugary version in the recipe for the dark porter of Yuengling. And it makes an already rich beer even richer, with caramel and a strong portion of the ubiquitous candy brand chocolate.

The beer company says that beer combines well with cheese, smoked barbecue and, well, more chocolate. Sugar calls sugar.

It won't be in stores for now, but it will be available on tap in bars and restaurants scattered across 13 US states. (including the birthplace of Hershey, Pennsylvania) and Washington.

The sale of the chocolate porter begins before Halloween and ends around another party focused on sweets, Valentine's Day.

Is a pint of sweet beer a sufficient excuse to get rid of roses and chocolate covered strawberries? That depends on who takes it.

Of course, there is still alcohol in beer, 4.7% by volume, to be exact, so cocoa lovers under 21 will have to settle for hot chocolate for now.

It is certainly not the first beer with chocolate infusion, and it will not be the last. But it's hard to complain when two centuries-old brands offer two beloved vices, chocolate and beer, right where they belong, together.
