About 30 citizens gathered in front of the Saudi Embassy in Washington on the 2nd day after Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Kashogi was killed at the Saudi Consulate General in Istanbul, Turkey. And prayed.
Participants put up silence on Mr. Kashogi's illustrations and a paper with the words “Make Justice for Mr. Kashogi”. Courtney Ludge, the non-profit organization “Journalists Protection Committee” (CPJ), said, “We wanted to tell the world that we had never forgotten this case and continued to seek justice.”
Mr. Kashogi has contributed to US media such as the Washington Post based in the United States and has criticized the Saudi system in speech. The view that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed ordered the killing spread, but the Saudi side denied. In January this year, Saudi prosecutors filed death sentences for five people who were directly involved in the killing. (Washington = Watanabe Hill)
