Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi stressed the need to respect the rule of law and restore life to normal in the Iraqi provinces, calling for not escalating the demonstrations, which is leading to loss of life.

Abdul Mahdi stressed in a speech, according to Alsumaria News that advocates of despair should not be allowed to overcome the people and that the government is determined to serve the people and work sincerely and said: The excesses have been lifted and residential land has already been distributed. ”

"Your demands are right, but the government cannot handle the backlog of contracts in less than a year," he said.

The Iraqi Prime Minister: We agreed with the judiciary to consider the victims in the demonstrations of the security forces and demonstrators martyrs with rights in accordance with the laws in force as we agreed to release detainees.

Abdul Mahdi asked the Iraqi parliament to give the Council of Ministers the power to complete the cabinet.

In the same context, quoted the Iraqi News Agency conscious source informed as saying that representatives of the demonstrators expressed their willingness to meet the invitation of the Prime Minister to discuss the legitimate demands and that things bode well.

The media office of Abdul-Mahdi announced yesterday the follow-up of the latter continuous contacts with representatives of peaceful demonstrators to consider legitimate requests and meet the aspirations of the people, especially the youth to calm the situation and return to normal life.

Baghdad and a number of Iraqi provinces yesterday witnessed the emergence of sporadic demonstrations demanding better services and job opportunities, while a parliamentary source confirmed that the Iraqi parliament will discuss the demands of the demonstrators at its next session on Saturday.
