Rabi Talal Al-Jibai succeeded in employing his experience in the carpentry profession over the years to establish a production workshop specialized in designing antiques, sculptures and home supplies of natural wood.
The workshop, which he founded six years ago in the city of As-Suwayda, has provided him with a source of income to help him to bear the burdens of life and translated through his love for this area and his intention to adapt wood in something useful instead of burning or throwing based on 3 types of timber Walnuts for their durability and freshness in sculpture and apricots characterized by impermeable fibers that do not crack and olives used for antiques and oriental.
The 37-year-old Al Jebai pointed out that he is designing in his workshop a collection of antiques, kitchen tools, abstract and realistic sculptures to be marketed according to the requests submitted to him, in addition to the design of decorations of some restaurants and apartments, combining manual and automated work.
Al-Jibai reviews the difficulties of work, including the lack of permanent raw material and the absence of specialized workshops for drying wood.
The details of Rabie's work were influenced by his friend Anas Al-Jaramani, who said: “I started to learn from him this craft and I often help him with the workshop along with the other work I do.”
