London-Sana
British authorities evacuated part of Glasgow airport today and a plane was cordoned off because of a suspicious package on board.
"The alarm has been sounded and the plane has been cordoned off to investigate what the package was," an airport spokesman was quoted as saying by the BBC.
The airport called emergency services to the site after fears of a suspicious package on a flight from Amsterdam were raised, while part of the airport's international gate was evacuated and closed.
Large numbers of emergency vehicles, including fire and ambulances and an environmental protection unit, have arrived near the runway.
