Two earthquakes measuring 3.8 and 4.2 on the Richter scale hit areas in south and southwestern Iran.
The first tremor hit the city of Gram in the province of Khekloia and Boyer Ahmad in southwest Iran with a magnitude of 3.8 degrees at a depth of 16 kilometers from the Earth's surface, IRNA quoted the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Foundation at the University of Tehran as saying.
Another 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Jahram in the southern Iranian province of Fars at a depth of 10 kilometers from the Earth's surface, it said.
There were no reports of casualties or damage in the areas affected.
