(CNN Spanish) - Google is the most attractive company to work for among university students in five of six Latin American countries, according to the World's Most Attractive Employers (2019) study by Universum.

The technology company was placed as the most attractive among university students in Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, while in Chile, the sixth country contemplated in the survey, the most attractive company is LATAM Airlines.

The study, published this Friday, highlights that national companies, both in the private and public sectors, are among the most attractive for university students in each country of those considered in the survey.

Thus, for example, INDITEX Group - with clothing brands such as Zara, Bershka and Massimo Dutti - is the third most attractive company in Spain, while in Brazil, Itaú Unibanco Bank occupies second place.

In Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Chile, local governments are among the 10 most attractive employers for university students in each of these countries.

More than 121,000 students in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Argentina participated in the surveys that Universum conducted among several study groups in the Latin American region during 2019, while in Spain it was more than 31,000 university students who participated in the national survey .

The study also reveals that university students from Mexico and Colombia (1 in 2) are the most interested in being enterprising, innovative, and creative as one of their main career goals regardless of where they work.

This entrepreneurial spirit is slightly lower in Argentina (39%), Brazil and Spain (around 35%).
