Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi issued an order last night to lift the curfew in Baghdad.
"Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief Adel Abdul-Mahdi has directed the lifting of the curfew in Baghdad," a statement from the security information cell, Alsumaria News, said.
Abdul-Mahdi said yesterday the need to respect the rule of law and restore life to normal in the Iraqi provinces, calling for not to escalate the demonstrations, which has led to loss of life.
It is scheduled to discuss the Iraqi Council of Representatives in its session today demonstrations in Baghdad and several provinces, according to a parliamentary source also pointed out that the meeting will also discuss the demands of demonstrators and ways to meet the legitimate ones.
