Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has announced that the Russian-Venezuelan Intergovernmental Committee signed yesterday a number of cooperation agreements in the fields of military, technical and agricultural, stressing that the relations between Moscow and Caracas stronger than ever.
"Military-technical cooperation is proceeding according to the agreed schedule and all contracts for support and consultations have been renewed," Maduro said after meeting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in Caracas. Production and food protection.
Maduro stressed that the signed agreements help in the development and economic recovery of Venezuela, pointing out that the talks he had with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last September touched on the directions of constructive multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries as strategic partners and allies.
For his part, Borisov said, "My visit to Caracas is of a technical nature, during which we discussed specific issues to boost trade and revitalize the Venezuelan economy."
Russia and Venezuela have agreed on a number of other projects in the agricultural field, where Russia will invest Venezuela in this sector and provide the necessary technology.
The Venezuelan government confirmed that during the years of cooperation, Moscow and Caracas signed 264 agreements in 20 strategic sectors such as energy, military-technical cooperation, mining industry and agricultural sector.
