In front of the cameras of the whole world, on November 9, 1989, shortly after 11 pm, in Berlin, opens a first crossing point in the Wall. Thousands of East Germans cross this "wall of shame" that separates their country since August 13, 1961. They are greeted with applause or music.

In the hours that follow, these scenes, still unimaginable a few days earlier, are multiplying at the other "checkpoints" in Berlin and across the entire border between Germany, East Germany and West Germany. 'Where is).

This event marks not only the beginning of the reunification of Germany, but also the planned end of the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).

Ouest-France , in partnership with The Memorial of Caen, offers fifteen of its subscribed readers to live, in Berlin, the commemorations marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Wall. To participate in our contest and experience this historic moment (from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10, 2019), give us your vision of what was, for you, the fall of this wall.

Among the most beautiful testimonies (they must have a maximum of 1000 characters), fifteen will be selected by the editorial board of Ouest-France and The Memorial of Caen. Fifteen subscribers of the newspaper and / or digital edition west-france.fr will take the direction of Berlin (1), with our teams and those of the museum Caen.
