The F-16 fighter jet crashed in western Germany while the pilot managed to get out safely, the US military said.
Spangdalem Air Force spokeswoman Angela Watson confirmed the incident, noting that the plane crashed in the Zimmer area between the city of Trier and the air base, without giving details on the causes of the accident.
