For the second day in a row, the youth dialogue sessions in Syrian universities, supervised by the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students, continued to discuss topics related to rumors and lies and their impact on society in general and youth in particular in light of the fourth generation wars and the terminology war.

In the sessions held at the conference hall of the University of Damascus, Dr. Boutros Hallak, Head of Public Relations at the Faculty of Information, gave a presentation on the concept of rumors and types and ways to face them in the light of psychological warfare targeting the Syrian people in conjunction with the victories of our army in the field, noting the level of responsibility and scientific and cultural awareness owned by the youth Syrian and openness and diversity of ideas and experiences.

Darin Suleiman, member of the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students and Head of the Office of Special Education and Informatics, pointed out that Syria is currently facing a war with new tools represented by means of communication and modern technology to negatively impact public opinion and dismantle and weaken Syrian society.

Najla Ali, from the Faculty of Information at Damascus University, considered that the role of youth is essential in facing the fourth generation wars aimed at destabilizing society by spreading rumors, pointing out the role of family and educational institutions in this field, while the student Alissar al-Hajali from the Faculty of Arts to the importance of raising awareness and strengthening The culture of constructive criticism in the media to counter all the rumors promoted in social media.

At the University of Tishreen, participants in the dialogue sessions called for speed, transparency and credibility in spreading the news in order not to allow misleading media to manipulate information and select qualified competencies in the electronic field to address the pages that distort the truth and broadcast lies.

Dr. Bashar Abbas, head of the history department at the university's faculty of arts, said that despite all difficulties, the national media has managed to win a great victory over the media war, and the Syrian youth proved that they have a great deal of awareness, cohesion, national unity and immunity enough to face these dangers.

The head of the student union branch at Tishreen University, Yusuf Shaheen, pointed out that the sessions aim to create entrepreneurship among the youth segment to find out all the issues that concern them, while the doctoral student at the Faculty of Agriculture Bashar Tobo called for finding official pages for each institution that publishes the correct and accurate information to reach the citizen Flour.
