Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed his country's rejection of the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, reiterating the need to respect the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Syria.
Last night, the Turkish army attacked the northeastern countryside of al-Hasakah, targeting sites near the illegal crossing of Simalka on the Syrian-Iraqi border and Tal Tawil in the al-Malikiyah area, where there are points of the separatist SDF militia.
During a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Zarif stressed the need to combat terrorism and establish security and stability in Syria, pointing out that the implementation of the Adana agreement is the best option for Syria and Turkey.
