The biggest topic in the UK this summer may have been the TV program “Love Island” rather than leaving the European Union or changing the prime minister. Love Island is a resort facility on the island of Mallorca, Spain, where 10 young men and women are sleeping and eating constantly with about 70 cameras. The most popular couple in the audience vote gets £ 50,000 (about 6.5 million yen).

The reality program spread with the worldwide success of the Dutch program “Big Brother”, which observes men and women living together in an isolated house.
