The Syrian Embassy in Spain, in cooperation with the International Platform Against Wars, held a celebration on the occasion of the launch of the premiere of the Spanish documentary “Love in Syria… Tales of Resistance” at the General Organization of Actors and Editors in Madrid.
The documentary, directed by Susanna Oviedo and screened yesterday evening, sheds light on the role of Syrian women, their resilience, resistance and fighting terrorism along with the Syrian Arab soldier and the pride of Syrian mothers for offering sons and husbands the martyrs of redemption and pride.
The director, who visited Syria several times, most recently last year, talked about the greatness of Syria and the steadfastness of its people in the face of terrorism suffered for years and left behind the destruction of infrastructure, hospitals, schools and universities and the abandonment of thousands of Syrians.
She pointed out that terrorism and its supporters wanted to spread sedition and target the typical case of coexistence between Syrians and the destruction of the country's cultural heritage and the true evidence of history confirming that civilization was born and launched from Syria.
For his part, Syrian Ambassador to Spain Samir Kassir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the director and her team for producing the documentary film that shows the Syrians suffering and steadfastness in the face of terrorism, pointing out that the terrorist war on Syria was launched in many forms, the most serious of which is the global media war that distorted and falsified the facts and portrayed the terrorist organizations as an opposition. Moderate.
The ceremony was attended by ambassadors of Palestine, Iraq, Venezuela, a number of diplomats from friendly countries and a crowd of Syrian community, students and Spanish academics.
